Windham, Connecticut — November 19 — On Wednesday, November 19, the Connecticut Daily Forest Fire hazard Report reported a moderate level of forest fire hazard in every county. According to officials, temperate weather permits fires to originate from common causes but restricts their rapid spread when early suppression is implemented. In late autumn, seasonal brush, dry leaves, and erratic winds continue to be factors. Every day, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection keeps an eye on the state's fuel moisture and weather patterns. Residents are reminded by the Windham Centre Fire Department, located at 18 Windham Centre Road in Windham, Connecticut, to completely put out campfires, adhere to local burning restrictions, and keep water supplies close by during approved burns. Emergency services should be notified right away of any smoke or uncontrolled fire circumstances.
