WESTERLY, R.I. - Both Captain Eric Fallon and Lieutenant Stephen Aylward, who have been in their new leadership positions for a few months, were honored with a ceremonial promotional and pinning ceremony by the Westerly Fire Department.

Captain Fallon has been with the police since 1988 and has held several leadership roles during his tenure. He was promoted on October 7, 2025. In addition, he brought a wealth of expertise and guidance to WFD after retiring from the Providence Fire Department after 30 years of service.

Currently serving as President of the Westerly Veteran Firefighters Association, Lieutenant Aylward was promoted on November 11, 2025, after serving from 2020. As one of the original mentors in the WFD Mentor Program, he has been instrumental in helping new members.
