Two Alarm Chinese Restaurant Fire

Allentown- On December 4 around 0330, the Lehigh County 911 Center dispatched the AFD to 501 N. 7th St. for a commercial structure fire. On arrival, command had smoke showing from the building with visible fire coming from the first floor rear kitchen area of the Happy Garden restaurant. Everyone in the above second and third floor apartments were able to escape safely. A second alarm was necessary to stop the progress of the fire. There were no reported injuries. Apartment residents were forced to relocate due to a lack of heat in the building.
