November 18, 2025 — Members of the South Hackensack Volunteer Fire Department conducted training focused on the basic components of forcible entry, a critical firefighting skill used to gain rapid and effective access to structures during emergencies.

The training emphasized proper techniques, tool use, and coordination required to safely and efficiently force entry when lives or property are at risk. Department officials noted that regular hands-on training is essential to maintaining operational readiness.

The South Hackensack Volunteer Fire Department extended its thanks to the Wood-Ridge Fire Department for allowing members to utilize their door prop, providing valuable equipment that enhanced the realism and effectiveness of the training session.
