Byram Township Fire Responds to Vehicle Fire with Entrapment

Byram Township, NJ — November 17th — The Byram Township Fire Department was called to Sparta Stanhope Road in response to a complaint of an airbag-deployed car colliding with a utility pole. The situation was upgraded to a car fire with downed wires and alleged entrapment while units were on their way.

Before responding units could arrive, a nearby Byram Township Fire Department member arrived on the site and was able to extricate the occupant from the vehicle. Soon after, Engine 4 arrived, took over, and started fighting the fire while making sure everyone was safe near the downed utilities.
