In the evening hours of Wednesday December 10th 2025 the Coram Fire Department was dispatched out to a reported outside fire on Mill Road. Coram Chief 5-6-32 arrived on scene and encountered a fully involved 18 wheeler. Coram Engine 12 & Ladder 1 arrived and started putting multiple handlines into operation. During operations Chief 5-6-32 requested Yaphank Fire Department for 1 tanker to the scene due to water supply issues. Once all visible fire was knocked down the scene was placed under control. Crews then soaked the truck down. No injuries were reported. Units operated under the command of Coram Chief 5-6-32. The scene was turned over to the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal’s office for further investigation.
