Brush Fire Near Victory Park Brought Under Control; Roadway Reopened

December 11, 2025 — At approximately 12:30 p.m., the City Hook and Ladder Company responded to and operated at the scene of a brush fire near Victory Park.
Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing further spread and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area. The Heritage Volunteer Fire Company #1 also assisted during the incident.
Officials confirmed that the fire was successfully controlled and that the roadway has since reopened to traffic. No injuries were reported.
