December 6, 2025 — Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the 500 block of Church Street in Danville for a reported structure fire, prompting a multi-agency response from across Montour County and surrounding areas. Initial responding units included Tanker 19, Squad 23, Engines 33, 43, and 63, Brush 15, Squad 35, Traffic 57, and MICU 120, with Northumberland County Squad 175 assigned as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Chief 40 and Frank 2 also responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, Chief 20 reported nothing showing, and Chief 40 subsequently confirmed conditions on scene. Engines established water supply, with Engine 43 staged at a hydrant directly in front of the structure and Engine 33 securing a hydrant at Church Street and Lower Mulberry Street. Additional units, including Brush 65, Danville Police Department, and supporting apparatus, remained available as crews investigated the source of the reported incident.

After a thorough assessment determined there was no active fire threat, command began releasing units, retaining Squirt 23 briefly to complete final checks. The scene was ultimately declared secure, the box was placed back in service, and all remaining units were cleared without incident.
