December 2, 2025 — On Tuesday evening, firefighters from Stations 90, 60, and 100 of the Valley Township Fire Department came together for a joint forcible entry training session focused on one of the most critical fireground skills.
Chief 90 led the training, beginning with tool identification and door and hardware recognition before moving into hands-on instruction. Crews practiced multiple techniques for forcing both inward- and outward-swinging doors, reinforcing proper tool placement, coordination, and safety during high-stress operations.
Department leadership thanked Station 30 for allowing the use of their door prop, which provided realistic training conditions. Officials noted that multi-station drills like this strengthen teamwork and ensure firefighters remain prepared to make rapid, effective entry when seconds matter most.
