Nov. 17, 2025 — Ronks Fire Company — Ronks Fire Company crews handled a busy weekend of emergency responses spanning vehicle accidents, fire alarms, and multiple fire-related incidents across the region. On Saturday evening, Rescue 48 was dispatched at 5:29 p.m. to assist with a reported vehicle accident on Route 30 at the Walnut Street exit, but was recalled while en route. Minutes later, Squad 48 and Utility 1 were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at a hotel, where crews determined the alarm had been accidentally activated by a patron.
On Sunday afternoon, Rescue 48 was dispatched at 1:40 p.m. to assist with a second-alarm barn fire on Peter’s Road in Upper Leacock Township. Crews were assigned to manpower staging and later assisted with moving burning materials. Due to high winds spreading fire to nearby fields, Utility 1 was also dispatched to assist with brush fires. Later in the afternoon, Squad 48 responded to a reported building fire along Lincoln Highway East, which was determined to be a mulch fire upon arrival.
