Horse and Carriage MVC Sends Crews to Little Britain Township

On Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2025, at 4:40 p.m., the Robert Fulton Fire Company was dispatched to the 200 block of Springhill Road in Little Britain Township for a reported motor vehicle collision involving a horse and carriage.
Squad 89, Brush 89, and Utility 89 responded to the scene, where first-arriving units found the horse and carriage resting in a creek bed along with an injured individual. Emergency medical services immediately assumed patient care, assisted by members assigned to the Utility unit.
Fire company crews simultaneously focused on animal rescue operations, safely freeing the horse from its harness and carefully walking it up and out of the creek. Once the horse was secured, personnel worked together to remove the carriage from the creek bed.
All Robert Fulton Fire Company units were clear of the scene by 5:17 p.m. A total of 15 volunteers signed in and assisted during the 37-minute incident.
