On the evening of December 2, 2025, members of the Refton Fire Company participated in hands-on training focused on chimney fires, an important topic as winter weather and home heating use increase. The training exercise was designed to refresh operational procedures while providing junior firefighters with practical experience simulating a real chimney fire response.
