December 10, 2025 — Shortly after clearing a structure fire in Fairview Township, the Newberry Township Fire Department was dispatched last night to Interstate 83 northbound near the 32-mile marker for a reported motor vehicle accident involving a rollover.
The department’s Rescue unit responded and was assisted by Rescue 26. Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle overturned with one occupant already out of the vehicle. Firefighters secured the scene and assisted EMS with patient care. One patient was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Engine 27 also responded to the incident and staged on scene until being released. Department officials credited coordinated response and quick action for the efficient handling of the call.
