At its monthly business meeting on Monday night, Knowlton Township Fire & Rescue (KTFR) welcomed two new members. Junior Member Emily Nicolaou and Firefighter David Cassidy were formally sworn in and presented to the membership.

Cassidy, a firefighter who recently relocated to the township, has many years of experience in the fire service, having served as both an officer and a fire teacher. His experience and expertise will be a great contribution to KTFR operations and training, according to department heads.

Alongside proud family members who were already employed at the department, such as her father Mike and brother Colin, junior member Emily Nicolaou took the oath of office. In 2026, Emily intends to pursue her service route by enrolling in EMT training.
