November 26, 2025 — The Bristol Borough Fire Association responded tonight with Engine 50 to assist the Edgely Fire Company on a reported dwelling fire in Bristol Township. The incident occurred at the end of a paper street with limited access, presenting challenges for apparatus placement and operations.
Upon arrival, BBFA crews were assigned to bring in fire extinguishers and hooks, as the homeowner had already knocked down the bulk of the fire prior to firefighters’ entry. Personnel then conducted a thorough check of the structure using thermal imaging cameras to look for fire extension, opened walls to locate any hidden pockets of heat, extinguished remaining smoldering areas, and performed ventilation operations to clear smoke and improve interior conditions.
While Engine 50 operated on the fireground, additional BBFA volunteers remained in service back in the Borough, staffing extra apparatus to ensure the community stayed fully protected in the event of another emergency.
BBFA officials thanked Edgely Fire Company for the opportunity to assist, emphasizing that mutual aid and teamwork remain essential to keeping neighboring communities safe.
