Firefighter J. Darling, a cherished member of the Deposit Fire Department since 2021, is introduced in this week's Firefighter Friday. With his accreditation as a Swift Water Rescue Technician, Darling contributes significant technical experience to the department while working as an exterior firefighter. He responds to situations involving swift-moving water and other dangerous rescue situations as a member of the Water Rescue Strike Team.

Firefighter Darling actively participates in the department's leadership and support roles in addition to his operational duties. He presently contributes to organizational administration and member welfare as President of the D.F.D. Benevolent Committee and Secretary of the Deposit Fire Department Incorporation Board of Directors.
