Ravena, N.Y. — November 11 — The Ravena Fire Department, located at 116 Main Street, joined organizations nationwide in commemorating Veterans Day. The department honored everyone who has served in the US military and their sacrifices.

Since many veterans continue to serve their communities as firefighters, EMTs, and cops, local leaders noted the long-standing relationship between military experience and emergency services. To honor service troops and acknowledge the families that support them, organizations throughout Albany County hosted ceremonies and silent moments. The Ravena Fire Department expressed gratitude to both current and former veterans, highlighting their contributions to national security and the solid example they set for today's responders.
