Aroostook County Emergency Management Marks Veterans Day

Aroostook County, ME — November 11 — Aroostook County Emergency Management observed Veterans Day alongside community partners and local responders. To honor those who served in the US Armed Forces, brief ceremonies were performed throughout the region, including assemblies at memorials and municipal buildings. According to officials, a large number of veterans still contribute to public safety by working in disaster management, fire, and emergency medical services, enhancing local readiness and responsiveness. Additionally, the department recognized continued collaboration with organizations run by veterans that provide outreach and training in northern Maine. Aroostook County Emergency Management emphasized the veterans' enduring contributions to community safety while expressing gratitude for their service and ongoing commitment.
