Londonderry, NH — December 3 — The Londonderry Fire Department, situated at 280 Mammoth Road, tested its newest firefighters through a training burn. The department used a structure on Kimball Road that had been provided for training following a previous fire.

Under controlled circumstances, crews tested search and rescue techniques, water application, and live-fire protocols. In a secure, supervised environment, the live burn gives firefighters practical experience with fire behaviour, tactics, and collaboration. According to state regulations for fire departments, open burns are allowed for training.

The drill strengthens safety regulations and increases preparedness for upcoming calls.
