Belfast, ME — November 23 —As part of an annual community tradition, Belfast Fire/Rescue members installed Christmas lights on November 23 to help get the downtown area ready for the holiday season. For many years, the department has backed the initiative, adding to the friendly environment that locals and tourists experience throughout the winter.

Workers put up decorations along the downtown streets in a safe manner. The firefighters who committed their time to the project were thanked by the department. After the repair was finished, Belfast Hannaford gave the personnel food, and the department thanked the shop for helping. Another holiday season in the community is something that Belfast Fire/Rescue is excited about.
