On November 7, 2025, the Carrollton Fire Department announced the successful completion of the Rope Technical Rescuer I course by 14 firefighters from both Carrollton Fire Department and Carroll County Fire & Rescue. Over the past two weeks, participants spent long 10–12 hour days mastering essential rope-rescue skills, including knot tying, system building, rappelling, rope climbing, and patient packaging. The demanding training resulted in a highly prepared group of responders equipped to serve the community in the first discipline of Technical Rescue. The department extended its appreciation to the instructors who made the course possible, as well as to Carroll County Fire & Rescue for providing their GSAR truck and equipment to support the training.
