On December 7, 2025, Kingsland Fire Rescue hosted its Annual Christmas Party and Recognition Ceremony, honoring outstanding members of the department and expressing gratitude to the community partners whose generosity helped make the celebration possible. Department leaders opened the evening by extending heartfelt thanks to the local Chamber and to all who donated through it, noting that continued community support plays a vital role in strengthening both the department’s mission and the people it serves. Special appreciation was also given to Outerbanks Bar & Grill – OBX Kingsland, Be Moore Fashions, and Kingsland Meats for their contributions to the event.

The evening’s awards ceremony recognized several individuals for exceptional service and dedication throughout the year. Sgt. Brandon White was named Officer of the Year, while Doug White received Firefighter of the Year honors. Rebecca Acosta was recognized as KFR Volunteer of the Year. The Most Improved awards were presented to Alexander Harris, Jacob Carter, and Vinny Grippa. Life Saving Awards were awarded to Capt. Scott Gregory, Lt. Jeff Lay, Alyssa Diaz, Carl Bartley, and Travis Tisdale for their extraordinary actions in the line of duty. Department officials praised each recipient for their professionalism, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to serving the community.

The ceremony concluded with holiday well wishes and sincere appreciation extended to both department members and the community for their continued support throughout the year. Kingsland Fire Rescue expressed pride in its team and gratitude for another successful year of service to the citizens it protects.
