Kevin Brady, a firefighter with Company 1 of the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, has finished the Firefighter 1 training. On Monday night, he was given his diploma.

Over 160 hours of classroom instruction and practical experience were provided at Rocky Hill facilities. About seventeen firefighters from various areas completed the qualification, including Brady. Core fireground operations required for a safe and efficient response were addressed throughout the training. With this accomplishment, Firefighter Brady is now authorized to carry out crucial tasks on emergency scenes while being supervised by an officer. The department extends its congratulations and anticipates his continuing service.
