Chester, NH — November 8 — Throughout the day, members of the Chester Fire Department, located at 27 Murphy Drive, conducted practical training centered on fundamental fireground skills. Search and rescue, first-arrival fire attack, and firefighter-down scenarios were also part of the training. When they arrived at a simulated emergency, crews rehearsed hose line progression, primary and secondary searches, and quick decision-making.
A number of probationary firemen gained invaluable experience from the training as they learnt standard operating procedures and safety techniques while working alongside more seasoned colleagues.
