Penobscot, ME — November 10 — John Chapman of Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC) conducted Narcan training for Penobscot Volunteer Fire Department members on Monday night. The focus of the training was on identifying the symptoms of an opioid overdose, such as pinpoint pupils, slowing respiration, and unresponsiveness. Firefighters went over reaction procedures, how to administer Narcan correctly, and what to do as they waited for transport resources.
