Manchester, NH — November 5 — The Boston Fire Training Academy on Moon Island hosted live fire training for the recruit class and recently promoted officers of the City of Manchester, NH Fire Department. Crews had the opportunity to practice fire assault, search tactics, ventilation, and hose line movement under actual heat and smoke conditions during the training, which included a vehicle fire and multi-story building scenarios.

Instructors focused on communication and teamwork, highlighting how coordinated actions boost fireground effectiveness. Realistic, practical training boosts confidence and facilitates safe decision-making in emergency situations, according to national standards.
