BOSTON, MA - Boston firefighters battled a three-alarm fire in a six-story apartment building during the early morning hours of December 1st. Companies arrived to find smoke and fire showing from the fourth floor and a second-alarm was transmitted. Engine Companies stretched handlines into the building while the truck companies performed searches and ventilated. A third-alarm was transmitted due to the large number of occupants that had to be evacuated from the floors above. Crews remained on scene checking for extension and ventilating.
