LeRoy, NY — November 18 — The LeRoy Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire on Griswold Road early on Tuesday. LeRoy Medic, Mercy EMS, and Bergen Fire Department 26 helped engines 63 and 62 arrive. After confirming that there was a minor fire in the chimney, the crews made sure it was completely extinguished and did not spread into the house.
According to fire officials, there were no injuries and little damage. After conducting a thorough safety inspection of the home, uthe nits left the area.
