Banks County Emergency Services responded on the evening of November 1, 2025, to assist an elderly horse that had slipped and fallen into a creek, leaving the animal unable to stand on its own. Fire & EMS crews utilized their training, coordination, and specialized rescue techniques to safely lift and stabilize the horse, ultimately bringing it back to its feet without further injury.
