NORTH WALPOLE, NH — October 28 — Moderate Fire Danger Day in New Hampshire, which has relaxed its statewide burn prohibition. Residents are being reminded by North Walpole Fire & Rescue that any outdoor fire, including brush piles, seasonal fire pits, and campfires, still requires a valid burn permit. Firefighters still stress the significance of keeping an eye on the weather, sticking with the fire until it is completely extinguished, and keeping equipment or water close at hand for safety. By using permits properly, agencies can monitor outdoor burning and lower the risk of wildfires in nearby neighborhoods. To keep the community safe, the agency advises residents to verify daily hazard ratings and adhere to state regulations before burning.
