GILSUM, NH — October 28 — In the evening, the Gilsum Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad received a call regarding a single-vehicle collision on Route 10 in front of the town office. When Rescue 1 and Engine 1 arrived, they discovered that the car had hit a utility pole and had significant front-end damage. When Route 10 was reduced to one lane, crews collaborated with the Cheshire County Sheriff's Office to manage traffic. Emerson's Towing & Repair removed the car as Cheshire County EMS arrived for an assessment. Eversource New Hampshire took care of utility safety and secured the damaged pole. The department stated that while the event is still being investigated, no new information is available.
