November 21, 2025 — The Clewiston Fire Department visited the Clewiston Early Learning Center earlier this week to give young students an engaging introduction to fire safety and firefighting equipment.
Firefighters showed the children how their turnout gear works, demonstrated tools used during emergencies, and allowed students to explore the fire truck. Teachers even had the chance to practice handling a fire hose, adding a fun hands-on moment to the visit. Before wrapping up, crews sounded a few sirens — a highlight for the kids, though perhaps less so for the teachers.
The department thanked the center’s staff for their warm welcome and emphasized the importance of starting fire safety education early to build confidence and awareness among young learners.
