Tamworth, NH — November 4 — Together with the Tamworth Police Department and Action Ambulance Service Inc., the Tamworth Fire/Rescue Department conducted a Touch-A-Truck event at the Tamworth Preschool. Youngsters had the opportunity to investigate emergency vehicles and discuss their roles in the community with first responders. Police, firefighters, and EMS workers demonstrated the tools they use on calls and described how each one contributes to public safety. The visit promoted early safety education and fostered good relationships with young people in the community. Events like this, according to responders, made kids feel more at ease asking for assistance when they needed it. The preschool team conveyed gratitude for the chance to welcome the organizations. Throughout the year, the agencies intended to carry out comparable outreach initiatives.
