November 19, 2025 — The Cocoa Beach Fire Department announced that crews were out throughout the day performing routine fire hydrant testing in neighborhoods across the city. This scheduled maintenance ensures that hydrants remain fully operational, water flow stays strong, and firefighters have reliable access to water during emergencies.

Residents may have seen fire personnel working around local streets as they checked pressure, flow rates, and hydrant condition. The department noted that this work is an essential part of maintaining community safety and operational readiness.

The Cocoa Beach Fire Department thanked residents for their patience during the testing process and encouraged anyone who spotted crews in their neighborhood to give a friendly wave as they ensured the city’s hydrants were ready when needed most.
