Durham Fire Honors Veterans Serving the Community

Durham, Maine — November 11 — Durham Fire & Rescue celebrated Veterans Day by saluting department members who served in the United States Armed Forces before joining the fire service. According to fire officials, many firefighters adapt qualities developed while serving in the military, including as leadership, cooperation, and problem solving, to community emergency response operations.
