Somersworth, NH — November 6 — The Somersworth Professional Firefighters Local 2320, located at 195 Maple St., finished a refresher course on strut training to improve their abilities in motor vehicle incidents. Dan Felix of Firematic led the session, reviewing lifting techniques, scene safety, and stabilization equipment with all on-duty shifts. Firefighters learnt how to improve access for medical treatment and practiced securing potentially unstable cars following collisions. Regular equipment training is crucial because road situations are a common component of fire service response, according to officials. These exercises assist ensure victims receive care promptly while supporting safe operations for responders. The department expressed gratitude to Firematic for their ongoing support of readiness and skill development. A crucial component of Somersworth's emergency response duty continues to be ongoing training.
