Durham, NH — November 10 — The Durham NH Fire Department, located at 51 College Road, received mutual aid assistance for a minor brush fire. In order to support water delivery operations and offer manpower in a town's wooded area, Tanker 4 and additional workers from a nearby agency responded. The fire was swiftly contained by the crews, who also fought to prevent it from spreading. Because of shifting weather patterns and dry vegetation, brush fires are still a seasonal danger. Residents are advised by fire officials to use caution when using outside heat sources and to adhere to open burning regulations. The reaction showed the importance of regional mutual-aid collaborations, which enable departments to pool resources and provide dependable service. After verifying that the area was secure and completely extinguished, all units left the site.
