Washington, NH — October 31 — For Halloween trick-or-treating, the Washington NH Fire and EMS Department, located at 75 Lempster Mountain Road in Washington, NH, is getting ready to welcome families to the Centre station. In addition to interacting with kids and giving out candy, members will work to encourage a safe night for everyone in the community. When strolling close to a road, national safety guidelines include wearing reflective clothing, using flashlights, and remaining with an adult. As the heating season approaches, firefighters use this yearly occasion to encourage locals to check their smoke alarms. Every October, departments throughout New Hampshire continue to promote community involvement through comparable outreach initiatives. Crews in Washington are excited to see imaginative costumes and make sure everyone has a fun and safe holiday. During trick-or-treat hours, families are welcome to visit.
