October 26, 2025 — Gainesville Fire Rescue reported that crews responded at 12:58 a.m. to a residential building fire at 2701 NE 11th Place after multiple callers reported flames. Units DC1, DC2, E1, E3, R34, SQ1, and TW1, along with local law enforcement, arrived quickly on scene and initiated suppression efforts.
According to the department, the fire was extinguished without injuries. Four adults were displaced as a result of the incident, and the American Red Cross is assisting those affected. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Gainesville Fire Rescue thanked residents for their cooperation during the response and reminded the community to regularly test smoke alarms and review home fire safety plans.
