ACFR congratulates Drew Lloyd on promotion to Driver Operator

October 21, 2025 — Alachua County Fire Rescue announced the promotion of Drew Lloyd to Driver Operator, marking a significant milestone in his career with the department.


According to ACFR, Lloyd was hired as a trainee in 2022 and quickly advanced through multiple levels of certification. He became a fully certified Firefighter/EMT in May 2023 and completed paramedic school in February 2025. In addition to his operational roles, he serves on the Technical Rescue Team (TRT) and is an active member of the department’s fitness team.


Driver Operator Lloyd will now be serving the community at Station 82 in Archer, where he will take on enhanced responsibilities in apparatus operation and emergency response.


Alachua County Fire Rescue congratulated Lloyd on his hard work, dedication, and continued commitment to professional growth.
