WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Nov. 23 —Members of the Waynesburg-Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company and the Auxiliary gathered at the Greene County Courthouse to decorate the Christmas tree. The custom signals the beginning of the holiday season in the community and prepares for the downtown celebration later this month. Waynesburg's Christmas on High Street will take place Saturday, November 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. Wagon rides, live music, a tree-lighting ceremony, and a fireworks display round out the evening's festivities.
