Chiefs Coordinate Resource Diversion to Maintain Countywide Coverage

Danville, PA — November 6 — Firewire Department Two car crashes in Rush Township and Cooper Township that resulted in injuries were handled by Montour County just minutes apart. Station 70, Rescue 27, Traffic 57, and MICU 120 were dispatched to the location of the initial collision, which happened in the 500 block of Elysburg Road. While EMS treated patients and crews handled traffic control and hazards, Chief 70 maintained command.
On the 2100 block of Montour Boulevard, a second collision was then reported. The given numbers were Brush 15, Station 60, Engine 43, Engine 33, CC R163, Traffic 57, and MICU 120. Chief 70 released Rescue 27 to address the second call when Chief 20 diverted from the first incident. All units were put back into duty after both scenes were stabilised and turned over to law enforcement and tow services.
