Danville, PA — November 3 — Firewire Department On the 1300 block of Liberty Valley Road, Montour County responded to a brush fire. Station 90, Station 100, Station 60, Engine 33, Liberty QRS, Engine 93, Engine 63, and Squad 35 were assigned after the incident was reported in a wooded area close to residences. When they arrived, Chief 100 was in charge.

To prevent the fire from spreading through dry foliage, crews used brush lines and hand tools. A water shuttle powered by several motors was necessary due to a shortage of hydrants. Liberty QRS was nevertheless prepared to support workers under challenging conditions.
