On November 8, 2025, Huntingdon Regional Fire & Rescue issued a public safety reminder following an incident during the Annual Veteran’s Day Parade in Huntingdon Borough. A motorist attempted to drive alongside the parade on the 400 block of Washington Street to access a mail drop box, creating a potential hazard. Although no injuries occurred, HRFR emphasized that such actions put participants and spectators at risk. Crews also observed vehicles attempting to enter the parade route to reach nearby streets. The department encourages motorists to remain patient, avoid entering active parade areas, and wait until the route is fully clear. HRFR reminds the community to prioritize safety, respect road closures, and enjoy the event responsibly.
