November 18, 2025 — Mountain Lake Fire Company reported that members recently completed Part Two of the classroom portion of the CEVO4 Driver Safety Training course, a program the department conducts every few years to reinforce safe emergency vehicle operations. The eight-hour session included lectures, group discussion, hands-on truck review, and a written test.

According to the company, while not the most exciting component of training, CEVO4 remains essential for ensuring that apparatus operators maintain the knowledge, awareness, and responsibility required to safely transport personnel and equipment to emergency scenes.

The Mountain Lake Fire Company noted that a hands-on driver training course will be scheduled soon and encouraged the community to stay tuned for additional updates.
