On November 18, 2025, Lititz Fire Company No. 1 reported that its volunteers participated in joint farm rescue training with the Rothsville Fire/Ambulance Company. The evening drill focused on multiple emergency scenarios involving individuals trapped in agricultural machinery—situations common in Lancaster County’s farming communities. Firefighters practiced equipment stabilization, patient care, and cutting and extrication techniques to safely remove victims. According to Lititz Fire Company No. 1, ongoing, scenario-based training like this is essential in preparing responders for real-life agricultural emergencies and ensuring they can provide rapid, effective service to the community.
