November 20, 2025 — Lancaster City Bureau of Fire

Members of Engine 1 and Truck 2 were recognized with a Unit Citation for their coordinated response to a building fire on June 16. Upon arrival, Engine 1 aggressively attacked the fire while Truck 2 crews conducted a primary search. Firefighters located an unconscious occupant, removed the individual from the structure, and immediately initiated CPR before transferring care to EMS personnel. Thanks to their swift actions and teamwork, the victim has since made a full recovery. Honorees include Lt. Ryan Lehr, FF Zac Costarella, and FF Ryan Whispell from Engine 1, along with Lt. Joe Shapiro, FF Jarrod Galler, and FF Andrew Huyett from Truck 2.
