November 15, 2025 — Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department reported that over the past two days, members dedicated several hours to training on the department’s newly implemented firefighter bailout system. The training included both classroom instruction and hands-on practical evolutions to ensure firefighters could safely and effectively deploy the equipment under emergency conditions.

According to the department, the program focused on familiarization, system setup, anchor selection, controlled descent, and real-world application, reinforcing critical survival skills for interior operations. The training provided members with an opportunity to build confidence and proficiency while preparing for worst-case scenarios.

The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department thanked Fire Ground Technologies for delivering the instruction and supporting firefighter readiness, noting that continued training and investment in safety equipment directly enhance protection for both responders and the community.
