Philadelphia, PA — October 27 — When Engine 61 arrived to Box 6118 at 6th Street and Fisher Avenue, they discovered fire coming from the second floor of a two-story house. This prompted the Philadelphia Second Alarmers to respond. As interior lines were moved upward and ladder crews opened up to enhance ventilation, a 2&2 service was put into place. While the fire room was being secured, exposure inspections were necessary on both sides due to the block's near row house spacing.

During suppression and overhaul, the Second Alarmers Rehab Unit at 2900 Roberts Avenue provided hydration, cooling, and medical monitoring to the on-site companies. As conditions improved, members rotated through rehabilitation before rejoining the queue. Units were cleared following final safety inspections, and no significant firefighter casualties were reported.
