Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responds to multiple overnight incidents, including police-involved crash

November 18, 2025 — Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department reported that members responded to several calls for service beginning around 7 p.m. last night, including two fire alarms—one involving smoke inside a home—and two motor vehicle accidents throughout the evening.


According to the department, at approximately 5:00 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to Terrace and Franklin Avenue for a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a Hasbrouck Heights Police officer was involved in the crash and transmitted a 10-30 for additional support. Wood-Ridge Fire Department responded to assist at the scene.


The injured officer was evaluated and transferred to EMS for medical care. No additional injuries were reported.

The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department extended well wishes to the officer for a full and speedy recovery.
